Dr T Durai Ananda Kumar

8012T. Durai Ananda Kumar has obtained M. Pharm from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience. He taught different pharmaceutical chemistry subjects at UG and PG level. His research activities focus on the design and synthesis of heterocycles, molecular modeling studies and generalization of synthetic and analytical chemical reactions using Design of Experiments (DoE) approach. He has guided 15 M. Pharm students and has 14 research publications in reputed national and international journals. He is on editorial board of Research and Reviews: Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research and Reviews: Journal of Pharmacology. He has authored 2 books, entitled ‘Elementary Pharmacoinformatics’ and ‘Experimental Organic and Medicinal Chemistry- Principles and Practice’. He is a life member of APTI.

The scientific activity focused on the following research areas:
Quality and microbiological safety of food production;
Microbiological and technological aspects of buffalo milk processing, cow and goat and their derivatives (mozzarella, cheese, cacioricotta, etc.), of meat sausages, of bakery products;
Molecular identification and characterization of pathogenic microorganisms in food products;
Study of the behaviour of pathogenic micro-organisms during the food production and optimization of the control methods;
Biotechnology starter and protective cultures: technological characteristics, selection and use of lactic acid bacteria and Micrococcaceae in dairy products and meat;
Molecular typing of lactic acid bacteria and Micrococcaceae.
The isolation, identification and biotyping (molecular and technological) of yeast and lactic acid bacteria “terroir” in order to constitute indigenous starter cultures are able to respect the authenticity, quality and safety of Southern Italian wines are its most recent search lines.
Is co-author of 76 publications on international journals.

Dr. Manish Kumar Asthana

MKA_ImageMay2016Manish Asthana is in Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur on a postdoctoral position in Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. He has recently completed his first postdoctorate from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He received his Doctoral degree in Life Science in 2013 from University of Wuerzburg, Germany. In 2009, he finished his Master’s degree in Cognitive Science from University of Allahabad, India. In June 2009, he moved to International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad as a research assistant and in November 2009, he had been selected as a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Cognitive Science Laboratory, University of Hyderabad, India. In December 2009, he has been offered a PhD position in University of Würzburg. He has conducted research mainly in the area of associative fear learning and its modulation. The development and introduction of novel methods such as behavioral, transcranial direct current stimulation, and genetic was a particular focus of his work. Other highly interesting fields of research were investigations of early biomarkers for anxiety and related disorders, e.g. startle, skin conductance response (SCR), heart-rate variability, blood pressure, etc. for the assessment of early detection of anxiety or related disorders. Currently, he is in Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He currently resides in Kanpur, India.

JAWED AHSANDr. Mohamed Jawed Ahsan has earned his B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi; and Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences) from Nims University, Jaipur. Presently he is working with Maharishi Arvind College of Pharmacy, Jaipur as Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Dr. Ahsan is in the research field for the last 9 years. He has a remarkable research profile in the area of Pharmaceutical & Medicinal Chemistry and published more than 49 research paper in peer reviewed high quality research papers. He has supervised more than 28 M. Pharmacy students. Recently his biography has been published in “Marquis Who’s Who in the Word”. Dr. Anil K. Philip

family photoDr. Anil Philip is currently working as Associate professor, Pharmaceutics in University of Nizwa, Oman. His research objectives and achievements have been in controlling/modifying the release of small/large molecules targeted to GI space using asymmetric membrane capsules. He has worked extensively in the field of controlled/ modified drug release systems, and possess rich experience in digging the root cause and finding solutions thereof for superior drug delivery systems. Currently, his lab is focusing on developing nano drug delivery systems, which can be targeted to the various body organs. His recent book chapter in Wiley address the same issue. He has guided 19 master students and his biography features in Marquis “Who is Who in Healthcare”, USA.
