Dr. Viveca Giongo is a researcher at Center for Technological Development in Health at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, and professor at the school of medicine, Estacio University. During her Ph.D. thesis in biochemistry at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she produced attenuated rotavirus and HSV particles using high hydrostatic pressure as an innovative method to obtain immunogenic viral particles. As post-doctoral at Federal Fluminense University she develops preclinical assays to identify marine terpenes and quinones derivatives as antiviral compounds against HSV and HIV. During her research fellowship in the Università Degli Studi di Napoli, she coupled terpenes and quinones in liposomes and dendrimers proving new delivery systems of marine drugs. Since 2007 she has been publishing about natural and synthetic antiviral compounds with strong inhibition upon latent diseases and now she is developing nanoparticles modified as treatment and vaccine models to zika virus.

Dr. Vikas Shrivastava, PhD is presently working as Associate Professor in Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. He obtained Master’s degree in Applied Biochemistry from Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Jiwaji University and PhD in Biochemistry from Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Jiwaji University. Dr. Anil Philip is currently working as Associate professor, Pharmaceutics in University of Nizwa, Oman. His research objectives and achievements have been in controlling/modifying the release of small/large molecules targeted to GI space using asymmetric membrane capsules. He has worked extensively in the field of controlled/ modified drug release systems, and possess rich experience in digging the root cause and finding solutions thereof for superior drug delivery systems. Currently, his lab is focusing on developing nano drug delivery systems, which can be targeted to the various body organs. His recent book chapter in Wiley address the same issue. He has guided 19 master students and his biography features in Marquis “Who is Who in Healthcare”, USA.

Dr. Ganesh Kumar Mani is a Research Scientist at Micro / Nano Technology Center, Tokai University, Japan. He completed his Ph.D. in Nano Sensors Lab @ Centre for Nanotechnology & Advanced Biomaterials (CeNTAB) SASTRA University, Thanjavur, India. His current research interests are fabrication and development of nanostructured thin film based gas / chemical sensors for predicting food quality, developing solid state pH sensors and developing painless microneedles for multifunction applications, etc. He is one of the inventors in two patents titled “Low Concentration Ammonia Vapour Sensor & Acetaldehyde Sensor Using ZnO Nanoplatelets. He has also participated and organized national and international conferences and presented posters in various institutions among which he has been awarded with Best Poster Award in NANO INDIA 2015 conferred by Professor C.N.R. Rao, FRS, National Research Professor, Linus Pauling Research Professor & Honorary President. He also won “Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award” for his doctoral thesis work.
