Dr. Faiza Amber Siddiqui

Faiza_0894_webDr. Siddiqui is highly versatile research scientist with 8 years of hands-on experience conducting experiments in infectious biology and biotechnology, including a recent leadership role at one of the world`s leading research universities. She obtained her Bachelor`s degree as well as Master`s degree in Biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, India and PhD in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. During her doctoral studies she worked on identification and development of novel malaria vaccine candidates. After completing her PhD, she worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in New Delhi, India for two years where she successfully worked on the lipid signaling pathways of P. falciparum. Later on she joined Pennsylvania State University as a Research Associate in the United States of America and presently she is involved in understanding the mechanisms of Artemisinin resistance in Malaria Parasite. She is also involved with genomics and bioinformatics research in malaria parasite. Moreover, She is serving as an Editorial Board Member as well as a reviewer for many peer reviewed International Journals and she has published in seven peer-reviewed international research papers including one conference paper and also, reviewed 25 manuscripts for 8 international journals. Last year she also served as a Judge in five international conferences in USA. In addition, Dr. Siddiqui has been actively participating in almost 23 national and international conferences.
