Dr. Kailash C. Petkar

Dr. Kailash C. Petkar is currently working as a Scientist with the Government of India, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology. DSIR is responsible for the recognition and registration of in-house R & D units of industries, Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs) and Public Funded Research Institutions (PFRIs) in the country. He is handling various programs under Industrial Research and Development (IRD) scheme of DSIR.

Dr. Petkar is a Pharmacy graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Nagpur University and a Ph.D. degree from The M. S. University of Baroda, Gujarat, India. He is a recipient of prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship, UK to to pursue PhD research at the UCL School of Pharmacy, London. He worked as a postdoctoral-Industry fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Bionanosim Inc., Jerusalem, Israel. His research was focused on the formulation of complex protein and peptide molecules using micro and nano spray drying technology. Dr. Petkar is having over 12 years of academic and industrial research experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Product Development. He has many national and international research papers and book chapters to his credit.
